We're looking for staff ahead of our busy summer season, including retail assistants, waiter/waitresses, kitchen porters and chefs.

Chef de Partie

The Pier at Southwold is part of the Gough Hotels group, we are looking to recruit a professional Chef de Partie with the talent and ability to prepare and produce high quality food consistently.  We would also consider applications from experienced Commis Chef’s or Demi Chef de Partie looking for the next step.

Duties will include:

  • Ensure that a high standard of preparations and presentation is achieved before any dish leaves the kitchen.
  • Oversees staff on section, training on the job and ensure that the section runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Maintain high standards in health, safety and hygiene.
  • Maintain a high standard of discipline to reduce waste and accidents.

 

The role is seasonal, full-time, hours will vary and will include weekends.  Excellent career progression and learning and development opportunities available with this high quality privately owned hotel group.

Sous Chef

We have a great opportunity for an experienced and highly professional Sous Chef who has the talent and ability to prepare and produce high quality and high volume of food consistently.

Duties will include ensuring a high standard of preparations and presentation is achieved before any dish leaves the kitchen. Overseeing staff, training and ensuring that the sections run smoothly and efficiently. Maintaining a high standard in health, safety and hygiene. Maintaining a high standard of discipline to reduce waste and accidents.

The role is full time, hours vary seasonally and will include bank holidays and weekends.
