There’s plenty of fish in the Southwold sea.
Keen fisher or novice, you’re welcome to spend your day sea angling from the end of the Pier. Cast your line at Southwold’s most easterly point and see what takes the bait. Regular catches include Whiting in the autumn and Codling in the winter, while Dover Sole and Bass are plucked from the water in the summer months.
You can pick up a Day Fishing Permit from any of the units along the Pier for just £6.50 which will allow you to enjoy a full day’s fishing.
It’s a wonderful place to see the sunrise and a great place to enjoy true peace and quiet. And if you need any tips or local knowledge, there’s usually a member of the Southwold Pier Angling Club nearby who will be happy to share their experience.
