Community

Things that we are passionate about in the community.

Local conservation

Supporting local conservation in the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty www.suffolkcoastandheaths.org

EastFeast

EastFeast started in 2005 with a year long pilot programme at Aldeburgh Primary School in Suffolk. The project offers a model for teacher-artist partnership work based on children working an allotment for a full year culminating in a celebratory feast for the local community. EastFeast continues to evolve, in partnership with a growing number of schools in East Anglia, through a sequence of linked but independent creative learning programmes. Joint professional development of teachers, artists and other creative practitioners, eg gardners, is a key characteristic. www.eastfeast.co.uk

Suffolk Wildlife Trust

Suffolk Wildlife Trust is another of our passions. We are a gold member of their Corporate Partnership Scheme. Check out the website for what is going on in your area: www.suffolkwildlifetrust.org

James Paget Palliative Care Trust

John Holmes of the James Paget Palliative Care Trust recently gave a fascinating talk over supper in the Boardwalk Restaurant about the Fishing Industry in Lowestoft. We raised £250.00 which will go towards the new Palliative Care Unit at the James Paget Hospital. A very worthy cause. Thank you John, for all your hard work and devotion to this unit.
