The Water Clock Fund

In place since 2005, we have raised over £19,751.00 in the ensuing years. The money collected goes three ways – Children’s Charities, local Community Projects and Water Aid.

Some of those who have benefitted are local Associations for the Blind, a charity counselling the youth in Lowestoft, Southwold Primary School Play Area; Cherry Lodge Nursing Home, outings for residents; a local student for charitable work in Africa; Scripture Union’s Beach Mission in Southwold; Toddlers Walk for Muscular Dystrophy; NSPCC; Macmillan Cancer Care; Age Concern; The Fishermen’s Mission; RSPB.

We are all about family and in order to support the families of the troops fighting in Afghanistan, we invited a group of soldiers from Colchester Garrison (shortly to be deployed) and their families to come and enjoy a day on the Pier. We spoiled them, they had a great day and took home some charming memories.

When the Clock need repairing Brampton Primary School benefitted their Project on Exciting Play Spaces not just by being given money. Cleaning it became a science project, sorting and counting it became a maths project!
